Making Reindeer Poop (Chewy Cookies & Cream Bars)

Hello, my name is Sarah and I’m a Pinterest recipe addict. So in order to justify all my recipe-pinning, I wanted to share my attempt at making a Chewy Cookies & Cream Bar. However I decided to rename it Reindeer Poop since it looks a whole lot browner than the original recipe.

Step 1: Gather ingredients (Oreo Cookies, Butter, and Marshmallows)

I didn’t actually need the mini marshmallows, and it was probably a good thing since they expired in June.

Step 2: Put foil into an 8″ by 8″ square baking pan.

Step 3: Panic slightly because the brand new marshmallows are out of code by ten days. Then Google how long marshmallows last and feel slightly perturbed that they last six months past the expiration date.

Step 4: Remove Oreo cookies from their package and grind them in a blender/food processor.

Step 5: Measure about 5 cups (or a whole bag) of marshmallows.

Step 6: Put marshmallows and 4 tablespoons of butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave them for about 1.5/until they’re somewhat melty.

Step 7a: Mix the ground Oreos and the marshmallows before putting the mixture into the foil-lined baking pan. Let it sit for 15 minutes

Learn from my mess! Use a deep bowl when mixing to avoid a mess on the counter.

. Step 7b: Soak the microwavable bowl ASAP to avoid chiseling marshmallows off it later on. Also gnaw on the spatula to enjoy the marshmallowy/cookie-ness.

Marshmallows stick like edible cement. Delicious, edible cement.

Step 8: Use the foil to remove the big hunk of brown stuff from the pan, transferring it to a cutting board. Cut to the desired size and enjoy.

Doesn’t that look tasty?

The result?

Reindeer Poop!

Reindeer Poop is easy to make and doesn’t take all that much time. It’d make a cute dessert for a holiday party or simply to make a regular meal more festive.

Do you have a go-to holiday treat/dessert recipe? Any easy ones that I should try?
