Camp NaNoWriMo: T-minus 17 days

Day 9: Writing Soundtrack

One of my favorite parts of preparing for a writing soundtrack. I enjoy going through my iTunes library and picking out the songs that make me think of the story. The challenge is putting them in an order that fits with the peaks and valleys of tension in the plot.

  1. Summer, Highland Falls–Movin’Out Soundtrack
  2. Play, Guitar, Play–Conway Twitty
  3. Dancing Through Life–Wicked Soundtrack
  4. Sympathy for the Devil–Guns N’ Roses
  5. If I ever leave this world alive–Flogging Molly
  6. Jump Right In–Zac Brown Band
  7. Standing Outside the Fire–Garth Brooks
  8. I’m not that girl–Wicked Soundtrack
  9. Who I’d Be–Shrek Soundtrack
  10. Here’s to the Night–Eve6
  11. Home–Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack
  12. Let It Go–Frozen Soundtrack
  13. Build a Wall–Shrek Soundtrack
  14. May it Be–Celtic Woman
  15. Dance with the Devil–Breaking Benjamin
  16. Capital M-E–Taking Back Sunday
  17. No Good Deed–Wicked Soundtrack
  18. Until the End–Breaking Benjamin
  19. How to save a life–The Fray
  20. The Time of My Life–David Cook
  21. Hallelujah–Jeff Buckley

I love this playlist, especially Wicked and Frozen. I also have The Hobbit Soundtrack and some songs by Karliene Reynolds. Check her out on YouTube. You may also like Sarah Brightman and Enya. I’m not sure if you have heard Phantom of the Opera, but I see you like David Cook. His version of Music of the Night is so beautiful.

I’m glad that you like it! I’ve heard of Phantom of the Opera along with Sarah Brightman and Enya (Pandora is wonderful that way), but I’m not a huge fan. I think I’ve heard Music of the Night a few too many times in a row on Pandora, lol.
