Camp NaNoWriMo, Summer 2013: Day 1

Phew, that was a nice, productive stretch of writing. I actually got a heck of a lot more done than I thought I would. The first chapter is always a little awkward for me, so I’m glad that I’m a little over halfway done with it.

I borrow this format from Emily at More Than One Page. She did Camp NaNoWriMo back in April and embarked on this same blogging challenge. I may tweak it as the month goes on.

Write or Die Session #1: 30 minutes/1090 words
Write or Die Session #2: 20 minutes/762 words

How many words did you write today? 1887
How long did it take you to write them? 48 minutes of Write or Die
How many Facebook breaks did you take?  None
How many characters have you killed off to date? None
How many NaNoWriMo Angels have you murdered? …Not too many, I think.
Have you stopped using contractions yet? No
What was today’s reward for finishing word count? Shower, the feeling of accomplishment.
Cups of Tea: None
How any pieces of chocolate were consumed? None
Total NaNoWriMo Word Count So Far: 1887
Words to Goal: 48,113
Days Remaining: 30

How did your writing go today? Fast? Slow? Encounter any hurdles yet?
